From Sous Chef at the renowned “Restaurant Tantris” in Munich (2 Michelin stars), “Auberge de L‘ill” Paul & Marc Haeberlin in Illhaeusern, France/Alsace (3 Michelin stars), the Pourcel brothers from “Jardin des sens” in Montpellier (3 Michelin stars), Thomas Keller’s “French Laundry” in Napa Valley (3 stars) to the legendary “Raffles Hotel” in Singapore as Executive Sous Chef up to
cooking the “Les Amis” restaurant in Singapore (2 stars) to the top of the international ranking lists: listed as #53 in the 100 Worlds Best Restaurants in 2012 and being accepted to the “Les grandes tables du monde, Traditions & Qualité” elite chefs’ club. On board alongside Armin is Mario Marcati, an old school restaurateur. The Marcati family has been running hotel and restaurant businesses successfully on the Seefeld Plateau for almost 50 years.
When you acknowledge, as you must, that there is no such thing as perfect food, only the idea of it, then the real purpose of striving for perfection becomes clear: „to make people happy” … that’s what cooking is all about!
The new “dasMAX” lifestyle hotel also recently opened by Mario Marcati in Seefeld has a BISTRO which Armin Leitgeb also has a culinary hand in, so the philosophy shared by both outlets is implemented in a casual, young fashion.
